Momentis Scam

Momentis ScamIf you are looking for a work at home company there are many options out there to choose from. So why would someone want to use Momentis over anyone else? Let me give you the dirty truth and help you see them for what they really are.

SPOILER ALERT: Like this post by clicking the button below and get the verdict right now! skip all this reading and get the straight goods

First of all what is Momentis?
Based in Dallas, Texas, Momentis was founded in 2010 as the innovative network marketing arm of Just Energy. Just Energy has been in business since 1997, and is a multi-billion dollar company publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Momentis currently does business in all 50 states in the U.S., as well as most provinces in Canada, and has also gone worldwide into the U.K., providing residential energy, commercial energy, natural gas, satellite television, home internet, on the go internet, home phones, mobile phone apps, home security, energy management systems, and home appliances such as water heaters for lease.

Why not let Andy McWilliams CEO for Momentis explain it? Here is a short intro video below

Compensation Plan
In Momentis you make money by signing up customers, and teaching others to do the same thing. There are 5 ways to earn money with Momentis: Immediate Income, Mentor Bonuses, Leadership Bonuses, MyTeam Bonuses, and Residual Income. These varied revenue streams allow newly involved reps to begin turning a profit extremely quickly.

The Business Opportunity
When you’ve enrolled in Momentis you become the official owner of your own business. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. If for nothing else, this makes the 399 dollars worth it right here. You can file tax exemptions on some dinners, vacations, gas, and much more. The income potential is infinite, there are no expenses or debts you can get from owning this business that will make you liable, and losing 300 dollars is nothing compared to the thousands upon thousands of dollars, along with hundreds of hours that regular business owners lose when they don’t succeed in their business.

Isn’t this a scam?
A lot of people like to use the words scam when they describe a work at home opportunity. The older more common name was MLM or “Multi Level Marketing”. People liked to call it a Pyramid scam. So the term MLM eneded up getting a bit of a bad rap. If you would like to know the inner workings of a pyramid scheme, or gifting scam then let me know. that is a topic for another day. Consider this more like a Franchise Opportunity. You could go buy a McDonald’s franchise, build your own restaurant, and hire a bunch of kids to sell burgers to people. You scoop profit off every burger, and your business is built off the hard work of others.

So, if you have 1 million dollars lying around to buy the franchise rights to the McDonald’s name you should consider it. If you don’t have the million dollars, the $399 startup fee for momentis should look like an attractive alternative.

I have compared Momentis to all kinds of business opportunities around both network marketing and traditional, on the surface it would look like a pretty good deal. If you look closer there are some issues that you need to be aware of to overcome. Ill list them here

  1. Not every area has the products – This limits who you can target, and who is a potential associate. I had a lot of people in my downline that were often frustrated that their warm market all lived in an area that they could not offer anything at all at the time
  2. The rates are not the best they can be – I asked Andy McWilliams about the rates and he promised me that they will never be the cheapest, but that they would be competitive. This is fine for all those people who don’t have a conscience, or don’t mind knowing that they are not being totally honest with their customers when they say they have their best interest at heart
  3. You have to become an expert in every single area you are marketing in. The rates can change weekly in every area. This means you have a LOT of work to do to stay current and ensure that you know enough to find new customers. I found it really difficult to stay up to date and was always telling customers “I’ll have to double check”. You could blame my poor memory if you like. It just takes a lot of work.

What would you recommend?

I am glad you asked. I have been in this game a LONG time. I have made some money here and there. I have seen all kinds of compensation plans. I finally found the company that I prefer. It is right on the edge of experiencing massive growth. This is the company that all other companies are looking at to see what they are doing next. A true pioneer company that is setting their own rules and seeing massive success because of it.

I was told the start up cost for joining Momentis has been changed to $399, is this not true?

    • Hi Ryan, You are right. the start up cost was recently changed to $399. its still a great deal when you consider what all you get for that price. I have gone and updated the article to reflect this as well.

if you need any help getting signed up let me know. Otherwise I am here to help any way I can

  2. Great explanation! People struggle with the pyramid aspect of these companies not realizing every company in the world is shaped like a pyramid. You must have value flowing downward to your customer base in exchange for the money flowing upward to the company. Adding people to your business is no different than Wal-Mart opening a new store. We just don't have the massive capital to achieve massive box store openings so we must leverage our connections and use what resources we have to achieve success.

    • You Bet Shane. People dont realize that they are all part of a pyramid in some form or another. If you are not working on your dream then you are helping someone else build theirs. Simple as that!

  3. I found this site by accident, and love it. Will tell my Facebok Group members. Thanks and keep up the great work.

    • Hello,

I am glad you found it. If you have any questions please let me know. We are the Internets best kept secret right now. But we are seeing steady growth almost daily!

The problem is you make money by signing people and depending if the people below you sign other people and so on. What i mean is that the products or services are just a front to make the pyramid legal. The meetings are only to coach you on how to approach people and make em sign up and a pamphlet of the services or products. You hardly make any money from the products or services you sell. Specially when Momentis decides you no longer sell electricity or cell phone service but now beauty products. Im gonna start one that sell popcorn that makes you lose weight.
